In this webcast I will provide a short review of the book SOA Patterns with BizTalk Server 2009 by Richard Serotor. |
SOA Patterns with BizTalk Server 2009 adds to the growing library of quality books for BizTalk developers and is the first to be based on the 2009 version of BizTalk. Richard has been a long-term BizTalk expert and is one of the most active BizTalk community leaders and he provides some great insight in this book.
The book is targeted at experienced BizTalk developers rather than beginners, and it primarily focuses on leveraging WCF services and SOA techniques with BizTalk Server. The WCF adapters are covered in detail, diving behind the wizards and providing explanations on the adapter internals.
The book covers orchestration design patterns and the new WCF-SQL adapter, subjects that will be relevant to all BizTalk developers. There is also coverage of the ESB Toolkit, which provides a good introduction to the latest version of the ESB technology available in BizTalk Server. |
